You want to share your baby's best side, so remember to choose a time when you can take the best photos. Babies who are well rested and fed will smile more, keep their eyes open, and generally show their personalities to the camera more than babies who are tired or hungry. You'll end up with a much better selection of pictures for your baby photo announcements if you work around your baby's schedule.
In order for your infant to be the star of your photo baby announcements, the background and outfit should be neutral. Use blankets and onesies in white or pastel rather than bright colors or patterns.
Come prepared with the right props. A stuffed animal or noisemaker will grab the attention of babies and make them smile. A camera with a macro setting is suggested for taking close-up shots.
Take a variety of photos, keeping in mind the goal of creating original baby photo announcements. Change the baby's pose several times, and snap photos in both color and black and white. Vary your angle: Shoot from above, zoom in on your baby's face, and photograph while lying on your stomach.
Customized Photo Baby Announcements
Once you're satisfied with your selection of photos, choose one that captures your baby's personality. You might also consider selecting a few favorite photos and creating a variety of designs: an announcement for family, another for coworkers, and so on.
Next, choose a unique birth announcement design that matches each portrait from our large selection of photo baby announcements. At Announcing You, you're able to customize our designs so they best complement the photographs. Change the color to bring out the baby's eyes, or the font to suit her style. We are dedicated to helping you highlight the best aspects of your own unique photos.
